Best Guess for 1968 Trivia Prize

We played a simple game of "who gets the closest to our total score".  This was the first time to play this game and we did it in connection with the live trivia.  It was cool having Sherri join us this time, I'm sure she will be back again as soon as time allows.

Ok, I'll not keep you all waiting, the winner in tonights "guessing game" was our very own......OWEN!

So tonight we are going to play for yet another deck of Trivia cards, this time is's a 1958 deck, a little more rare than the 68 from last week.  Can't wait to see who all shows up for the team game!  The game changes each week, so bring your thinking caps!!!

Congrats Owen on WINNING!

2nd Place Winners or 1st Place Losers?

Last nights trivia was pretty fun. We managed to make it to the restaurant on time despite major gridlock fueled by road construction, a car that was on fire, and a fender bender hampering our path.
We had our regular gang of misfits there slurping on Margaritas and what not.
Our good friend Sherri was passing through the neighbor hood and stopped by to add her wisdom to the pool.
After a shaky start we did manage to pull out a 2nd place victory, or as the more practical description would be: we lost in 1st place.
Sherri's insistence on answering a question which the answer was Charlies Angles was enough to place us in the silver.
We hope she can make more of the trivia nights.
Your humble writer failed to really do much for the team this time, other than gracing everyone with his presence and sparkling wit, that is. ::cough::
Again it was a great time and I'm looking forward to next week.

Sherri holding the check for 2nd place.

Another little Valentine's Day Information to share:

In America, young ladies would write their names on slips of paper and at a Valentine's Day party young men would draw names. A young man would wear the name of his lady on his sleeve for days to claim her as his valentine, originating the saying "wearing your heart on your sleeve."

The Rejects take on 15 teams

Last Tuesday's Trivia was loaded with lots of teams all playing for the top 3 prizes.  Proudly, we took home the 2nd place prize.
Kate and Mike accepted the win.  The  rejects brought some good skills and Owen pulled off the Math question tonight.  So it's a good night for us all.

1st Place went to one of the team rivals "Big Oil".  Now lets see if they can hold on to that title next week as we bring home some big money!

For the "Scale Back Alabama",  We have 7 more weeks left guys and it's time to get serious on those goals.  Forgiveness granted for tonight's Valentine's meal ;)

Have fun and see you all tomorrow night for a new surprise on Trivia!

Newest member of the Team

We would all like to welcome Owen as our newest member.  This was his first time joining us, however he has commited to being here more and the next Math quiz is all his.

We finished with a team score of 60, which isn't bad for a team that started the night off missing the first 2 questions of the night.  The Magnific 7 took 1st place and we have challenged them to defend that title next Tuesday Night.  BRING IT ON!

FYI for tonight is:    Whose voice says "You've got mail" on AOL?    Elwood Edwards
Edwards - a friend of an AOL employee - recorded the "Welcome," "File's Done," "Goodbye," and  "You've Got Mail".
Edwards remained mostly unknown until Wired Magazine - in their forum on AOL - revealed his identity in 1995.

Attendees tonight were: Myself, Steve, Owen, Mike, Kate, Tyler and Mackenzie
