December 27, 2011

Here we are at the Final game of Trivia for 2011.  What a fun year it's been for Romero's Rejects.  We have met new friends and enjoyed our team.  Tonight's team is one of our largest teams yet.
Left to right back row: Amoreena, Ronald, JoAnn, Trisha, Patrick, Mike, Vanessa, Ron, Nick, Kate and Justin
Middle row: Sandy, ? and ?
Front row:  Steve

We started tonight off with all getting to know each other.  It was very cool to have the last game this year with new friends.
Now as for the game, we knew the answer to every question in the first 3 rounds.  It was Half time before  we knew it and everyone was having a great time.  We only missed 1 part of the half time question and moved right into the Rapid rounds.  In Rapid round 4 we missed the government question.  However we knew all the rest.  Now in Rapid round 5 was the famous words from a classic movie. "Dying at much of a living boy...." Let's see if anyone on here knows what movie it's from?

Now the Final Question of the night was in Literature. Our host never even finished the question before Steve grabbed the answer sheet, wrote down the correct answer, bet the max and was on his was to hand in the small slip of paper that would seal our Victory!

The actual question was something like this:  Who wrote " Cat's Cradle (1963), Slaughterhouse-Five (1969) and Breakfast of Champions (1973) ?  The answer was:  Kurt Vonnegut

We finished the night in 1st place with 97 points out of a possible 102 per game!  We were all cheering and I can't think of any better way to have ended the 2011 year of Trivia than with this Wonderful group of friends!

Bad Idea took 2nd place and I can't remember who was in 3rd place, we were all having to much fun talking and celebrating by the time of that announcement.

Now it's time to look for the new year of games and fun.  Who knows what 2012 will bring, so hold on to your hats and the hands of those around you.  Draw from their strengths and forgive their weaknesses.  Hugs to all and a Blessed future of happiness is my prayer.

See you all in the New Year!
